Looking Back, Looking Forward is a collection of reflections on personal experiences.

This book is a collection of deeply personal and authentic essays, based on the author’s disciplined habit of journaling and voracious reading. This is particularly notable given that John Pepper was Chairman and CEO of Procter & Gamble Company, Chairman of the board of the Walt Disney Company, and the driving force in the founding and building of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

He was a key driver of P&G’s entry to Russia and China, and offers great insight to the challenges and opportunities of international business, and related observations on the economic and geopolitical issues of the last 50 years.

The insights you will gain on living wisely, marriage, family, surviving cancer, and how to live in humility and service to others are profound and inspiring.

This book is a treasure, straight from the heart and soul of a great American. Enjoy!!

Brilliant book by one of the finest CEOs of our time and a very dear friend and mentor: John Pepper, former CEO, President and Chairman of the Board of Procter & Gamble Co. It seats perfect near his other two excellent books: What Really Matters and Russian Tide.

I just bought this book and started reading it: needless to say, it is John Pepper at its best: a great people leader and, most of all, a great human being, recollecting his life, his values and his learnings. A MUST READ for anybody who is serious about making a difference in life! And it is not one of those superficial books in which you are told you can do anything. It is full of real life learnings, showing that life is not always easy, yet it is beautiful if you do the right things!
